Alex wants to scream. She wants to scream and she tries to stop herself but then she does. Screaming isn't something that she normally does, even when she's scared out of her mind. She didn't scream when she found Maddie Franks, and Alex didn't scream when Richard's eyes went black, but here with the grief of Simon dying wrapping around her throat and sliding into her lungs she does.

"Simon." Alex says softly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Her hand reaches out and she closes his eyes, because that's about all that she's going to be able to do for him, which is ironic considering that he'd been the one who had opened her own.

Still holding onto his hand as the flesh starts to cool, Alex looks to Richard. "What do we do now?"
