Alex's eyes flash to Richard's, and all of the hurt is easily viewed there, echoing out through her dark eyes as she does so, before her gaze is shifted back to Simon. Him calling out for his parents hurts, because they were the ones who had done this to him in the first place and now here he was dying because he'd lost the battle with the duality of his nature.

Simon was dying.

Simon Reese was dying. And her and Richard were there with him, and Alex's tears dripped down over him as her lower lip trembled.

"Simon. Don't go. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't make it stop. I'm sorry I couldn't save you like you thought I would."
