Alex doesn't know about the fighting that's going on inside of his head, and she just follows him down the steps of the plane and into the small hanger. Clearly something is wrong, but she doesn't understand what it is or how bad it is. Only that it's bad, Alex knows that it's bad. It's not quite the level of danger that he'd demanded her telling about before, but it's also not something that makes her feel exceptionally safe.
