There is no more Richard per say. There is Richard Thing. Or perhaps he was always Richard. Richard is no longer sure. The human is tumbling away from him and his watch falls and he frowns at it before bending to pick it up.
"Stay." Richard's voice rings with command as he bends. There's a memory attached to this as he picks it up and -
Ah.. He'd told her to run. He had.
"I don't want to kill you." His tone is questioning, "Or Charlie. Which is strange. You are fundamentally nothing."
He peers at her, eyes still black, staring at the watch. His fingers run over it, lost in thought - thinking -
...Five minutes...
Run!
Richard ...He cared. He cared about this watch. And he gave it to Alex.
After a moment, whatever state Alex is in - he hands the watch back - but he won't let her move.
"You have questions. Now I can answer honestly. Ask them."
There's that same command voice as he hands her the watch back looking surprisingly pleased.
